Dr. Xu Lu (徐璐)

Dr. Xu Lu is the Post-doctoral Fellow at the Sun Yat-sun University School of Law. She specializes in intellectual property law, with a particular focus on addressing the challenges posed by emerging technologies such as AI to the existing intellectual property framework. She has a solid educational background in science and engineering. She accumulated experience in IP law, cyber law, and cybersecurity through active participation in national and provincial research projects. Notably, she contributed as the author of Chapter 9 in the Oxford University Press publication China and Cybersecurity. Her research findings have been published in CSSCI-indexed journals, as well as other leading national and provincial academic journals.
During her doctoral studies, she was awarded the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship to study at the University of Southern California, where she earned a master’s degree specializing in technology law and entertainment law.
As a postdoctoral researcher, her work has focused on the intersection of AI and IP law. She has led and participated in several research projects and was awarded funding under the Guangdong Provincial Young Outstanding Researchers International Training Program.
