Summer Course on Privacy Law & Policy (U. of Amsterdam)

The Institute for Information Law at the University of Amsterdam is launching the 11th edition of the Summer Course on Privacy Law & Policy from July 1 to 5, 2024.

The 11th edition of the Summer Course on Privacy Law & Policy will focus on the rules which apply to data-driven digital technologies and AI in both the EU and the US. Think of the requisite data to train machine learning algorithms, algorithms which personalise content for users and prediction algorithms which can affect people in various ways. Privacy law and policy already apply to many of the data-driven processes at a time when the EU and the US adopt new rules to govern risky AI. This course will explore the broader trends and recent developments in this rapidly changing field and explain how businesses, governments and other stakeholders can achieve their goals within it.
